Extra

Wow, the whole week has been relatively calm in price changes in comparison to the past few weeks. So I decided to do an extra thing, things you should know about trading and it's ethics.

Rules of trading

1. Know and look up the price of all cards in the trade.
2. Common misconception : all trades must be equal. If you need a card, don't expect the trade to be equal all the time. You may need to toss in a couple extra dollars to make your trade partner happy.
3. Trade up, avoid (but you still can) trading down. For those of you who don't understand this terminology, trading up is when you trade multiple cards for a card of higher value, trading down is the opposite. Trading down is bad because cards that are of lower value have less appeal in trades, when  you look in someone's binder and find all cards being $1-3  those cards are more likely to be cards you don't want.
4. Don't rip off people (I'm such a hypocrite), especially children.
5. Don't trade for cards over $5 at prerelease events(unless you think the card will go up or you really, really need it).
7. Don't get sharked!(duh)

One last thing, people have gradually shifted away from Magic the Gathering trading over the years. But his is mostly because they don't want to be sharked and ripped off, or they find it bothersome. I think it is an amazing thing to be able to trade cards that you don't need for cards you do need as a win-win situation for both parties. I think it's amazing to be able to be able to get rid of cards that are obsolete to you for things you need instead of buying with cash you are saving to buy a tempur pedic bed for. I support trading.

This is getting a bit long so I think I'll wrap this up with pucatrade. Pucatrade is a nationwide trading website in which you can trade with anybody. I recommend you sign up a and check it out.
